Non Financial Risk Officer

Your role & work environment 

You will be part of the team that provides market risk support to the FIFM Risk team in Amsterdam. The team is part of the FIFM (Financial Institutions Financial Markets) Risk within the Wholesale Bank CRO domain.  FIFM Risk is a global department, responsible for product control and counterparty credit & market risk management activities related to the Financial Markets activities of ING.

 

The core activities of this role is to support the market risk managers on the non-financial risk side which plays an important role in order to meet all the regulatory regulations, IFRS and SOx standards and internal ING policies and guidelines. Furthermore, you will function as the single point of contact (SPOC) towards Finance, IT and Front Office business management and ensure that non-financial risk management deliveries are consolidated with high quality and timely provided towards the relevant stakeholders. You will directly report to the Head of FIFM Risk Amsterdam.

 

Your key responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Producing a timely and accurate daily P&L and risk report.
  • Ensuring smooth SOx process
  • Local KPI’s monitoring (incl. effective tracking IT systems availability)
  • Audit – iRisk tracking and support teams in resolving issues
  • Audit - Review of processes in NL to challenge and help develop consistent standards across the teams.
  • Tracking status of annual exercises for location – product review, UDA registry maintenance and review, policies review
  • Incident reporting
  • AIP process (secretary role)
  • Role & Access management in Aveksa and SNOW and folder access/structure
  • SLAs maintenance
  • Logistics related topics
  • Function as central contact for other Support Functions
  • Support and follow up on issues related to common uploads
  • Function as general support to the local trading risk teams

As a Non-Financial Risk Manager, you will also need:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics
  • At least 3 years (risk) experience (e.g. ORM, MRM, Audit)
  • Financial product knowledge is a pre
  • To be an organised person who oversees the bigger picture and can prioritise accordingly
  • To be a strong communicator with attention to detail and able to summarise.
  • To be a team player that can work with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
  • To be able to understand the business perspective of key projects
  • To have a flexible approach to role and responsibilities
  • To be fluent in English
