You will work in an engaging and busy higher educational environment. This position will serve as the Assistant to the IT Officer that will cover troubleshooting of all classroom equipment including computers, displays, and audio/visual components. This position will also act as the contact and customer support for all IT helpdesk related issues from faculty and staff.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-          IT support (help desk) for equipment.

-          Provide desk-side support for faculty and staff in a mixed environment of Mac OSX and Windows Active Directory.

-          Be self-motivated, reliable, strong communicator, and dedicated to providing the highest level of IT and classroom support to the university environment

 

Required skills

  • Student in the field of Educational Technology, Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of Windows Active Directory System and Windows OS.
  • Knowledge of Apple Mac OS X systems.
  • Proficiency in desktop application productivity suits (Office 365, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency in audiovisual technology such as TV’s, audio receivers, HDMI switches, and beamers.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Focus on customer service and communication.
  • Apple, Microsoft, or other IT Certifications a plus.
