Business Development Manager

When you join Robin, you're not starting a new job. You'll be joining us on our mission to increase the safety of people and wildlife by preventing bird strikes in aviation, reducing the environmental impact of wind farms, and protecting critical infrastructure against drones.

How do you answer: So what do you do?

" I'm a customer-listening, market-understanding, sales-closing, international business-to-business development manager."

Ok. Here's what you will really do.

At airports, preventing birds from striking aircraft, as well as protecting against done intrusions, is an on-going challenge. We believe we have a solution. It's your job to get that solution into more and more international airports.

Our bird and drone radars are already at Amsterdam Schiphol, London Heathrow, Berlin Brandenburg, Fraport and Copenhagen, amongst others. These are the early adopters. We're convinced that it's a matter of time before bird and drone radars become normal at all international airports.

This is where you come in!

  • You'll visit airside safety and security managers to share why other airports use our technology;
  • You'll manage either Civil or Military Aviation together with one other Business Development Manager (BDM) as your own market segment;
  • Your primary focus is Europe, but you'll respond to opportunities outside Europe as well;
  • You'll tap into the momentum of issues around drones;
  • You'll come up with new ideas for promotion and have the freedom to execute on the good ones.

As BDM you'll be part of the Sales Team. Either the Civil or Military Aviation segment if your together with one other colleague. You also have sales colleagues running other segments (Wind Energy and Defence & Security). You all report to the Sales Director who is there to facilitate and guide you.

Alright. Now it's over to you!

  • You have 3-5 years' experience as an international Sales or Business Development Manager in an aviation environment;
  • You speak English and Dutch fluently;
  • You have experience with tenders and long sales cycles;
  • You're a trailblazer who can independently develop unknown markets;
  • You have a passion for technology. Although you may not be an engineer, you are able to prove your ability to understand and communicate about technology;
  • You're friendly, reliable, professional, and assertive, with the ability to close sales without being overly aggressive or pushy.

Great! We can’t wait to hear why. Please send us your CV and motivation letter via this link
