Business Development Professional | Security Certifications - Asia

Whether we talk about IoT consumer products, automotive, medical devices, or industrial control systems, security of embedded systems is important and very often used in solutions, which combine devices, systems, infrastructure, web and mobile applications. Within this fast evolving landscape, Secura gets many customer request to validate these solutions. Moreover, Secura is actively working on standardization of security assessments for these various industries.


We are actively looking into expanding its set of services to new markets. The Asian market was identified as an important target for the coming period, as many of the services are popular with possible customers in that region. In this context, We are looking for a business development professional. As a business development professional, your main task will be to establish contacts with possible customers in new markets, with a focus on the Asian market. Furthermore, the steps of explaining Secura’s offering, highlighting the value points, preparing and submitting offers and maintaining a relationship with the customer are included in the role description. Aspects such as internal project management and even becoming involved in part of the project delivery process can also be discussed. 

 

Secura employs a motivated and dedicated team, with offices in the two main technological centers of the Netherlands: Eindhoven and Amsterdam. This role is focused on international customers and will include traveling when required.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Fully understand Secura’s current service offering in terms of security compliance and certification services
  • Actively address customers in new markets, especially Asia (focus on China), and present the offering, highlighting the value points
  • Align with the customers for the purpose of understanding their needs and possible opportunities
  • Suggest relevant services in line with the customer’s needs, and support them in understanding the process behind the service, as well as costs and timelines
  • Draft project proposals in line with the agreed services, and interact with the customer during the process of the lead
  • Be responsible for the process of the lead, aligning with the internal delivery team and the internal project managers/planners on the status of the offers
  • Attend relevant events and conferences and use them as an opportunity to meet and interact with customer

You have:

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s, preferably in a technical domain or business domain
  • Preferably experience with relevant cybersecurity standards and certification schemes (for example Common Criteria)
  • Preferably experience in interacting with customers regarding the delivery and management of projects in line with cybersecurity standards and certification schemes
  • A strong drive to understand the needs of the customers, and map them to possible offered services
  • Preferably knowledge and skills in project management
  • Ability to easily communicate and interact with new and existing customers, on a constant basis
  • Strong knowledge of the Chinese language
