Assignment

Add authentication system to Radars

The amount of machines in a radar increases and the risk of a system getting hacked increases. For that reason, focus on cyber security is essential. One of the principals is a authentication of users.

Investigate what is needed to establish an authentication system in Radars.
Investigate what is needed to couple it with external authentication systems (e.g. the authentication system of the Combat Management System).
Design and implement a proof-of-concept for a Radar System. The future Radar Systems will use CoreOs as operating system. So preferably CoreOs and their DEX solution are taken into account.
Optionally: the Combat Management System of Thales includes Kerberos for
authentication management. Proof coupling of external Kerberos system to the
authentication management system of the Radar.
