Knowledge of and experience with Unix/Linux/Solaris operating systems
The candidate will work as an Operator in a process aligned global follow-the-sun support organization, has a professional mentality and takes an active role in the following processes: Availability and performance monitoring, Event/Incident management and Change management. Candidate needs to have the ability to quickly (within 3 months) become a proficient all-round Operator. According to a rotating schedule, the candidate will be consigned to perform call-out duties, being stand-by during off-hours to be paged in case of regional infrastructure problems for a 7x24 period. Responsibilities will include: incident handling, availability and performance monitoring, routine start-up and shut-down, and the maintenance of operating plans and schedules. A 9 to 5 mentality is not appreciated, and the candidate should be comfortable with working flexible in a rotating schedule covering both the locations in Amsterdam Oude Meer and Rijswijk (ZH).
