As a software test engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary Agile teams. These teams design, develop and test the infrastructure platform for the combat management systems, the radar systems, and the optical sensor systems. The teams are responsible for the entire development chain – from requirements analysis, development, testing, validation to demonstrate the current status of the product. Thales highly values the application of modern technologies and methodologies.

About you

If you have a passion for technology, you enjoy constantly developing your skills and you are interested in working on Naval Command & Control systems, then you are the person we need. We are looking for an experienced tester, who has >5 years of experience and enjoys designing and implementing (automated) test environments used to validate and qualify mission-critical infrastructure used by armed forces all over the world. Infrastructure test engineers compliment the application test engineers and together they ensure the solution delivered to the customer meets all requirements.

Relevant technologies include Linux, Cisco networking equipment and Java. You should be familiar with software development toolings such as GIT, Jenkins, and Jira. Testing frameworks (like Sikuli, Selenium or Cucumber) you have experience in. Knowledge of container virtualization is preferred. You must hold an HBO or WO degree in computer science, electrical engineering or comparable. ISTQB certification is an advantage. An important requirement to fulfill this role is the ability to communicate efficiently in English, both verbally and written.
