JAVA Developer

As a Java lead developer, you will help VisionsConnected as an innovation leader in Managed Unified Communication Services. The development team enables new functions, products and solutions in the Unified Communications and video conferencing services that Visions Connected provides to her customers. For example a client portal for booking and moderation of video meetings or advanced video solutions like the Tele-intensive care for the OLVG in Amsterdam. All these cases are unique solutions in which video communication plays an important role.
You will lead the development teams contribution to the realization of these new products/ services to our customers. Together with your colleagues you, as a scrum master, will form an agile development team to meet the demands in time and according to requirements. While there are expert developers in the team, it is your responsibility to make sure technical challenges are met and to stretch the capabilities of the team members by your expertise, stimulating discussion and contribution to the overall architecture whilst keeping progress and energy on a high level. You will make the call on software architecture and stability and quality on the long term. In the design phase you will be challenged to look for out-of-the-box solutions to accomplish goals and deal with issues, while you keep the interest of the end user in mind. After a thorough testing process the software is handed over to operations for the go-live.
At VisionsConnected you are involved in the complete development process; from gathering requirements until the moment the development will be live available for the end user. To reach good results you will cooperate with your colleagues from the other departments like operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Higher vocational work and thought level on software development
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience with JAVA (o.a. Spring/Hibernate), HTML and databases
- Relevant experience as a scrum master and in using API’s to existing/hardware components (SOAP, REST)
- Relevant experience with requirement management, functional design, UML, Agile/Scrum, Design Patterns.
- Naturally curious
- Pro-active, flexible and creative
- Pragmatic, “hands-on” approach
- You take initiative and can work independently and in a team
- Dutch speaking
- Good grasp of Dutch and English, both oral and written
