Description:

We are looking for an OT security expert to lead the ENCS security policy program and related consulting projects.

Job description

As a senior security consultant, you will contribute to the ENCS security policy program and lead related consultancy projects. You will manage customer contacts and be responsible for program and project deliverables for ENCS members across Europe. The ENCS security policy program aims to develop and share knowledge to security officers responsible for organizational security measures of OT systems. This includes the improvement of security policies and regulation, and the development of information security management systems. Smart grids will be the main context.

You will also support other security programs and services, involving security testing, security training and our interaction with official National and European bodies.

We have strong and trusted collaborative relationships with our members and partners, going beyond the traditional customer/ supplier relationship. We are colleagues working together towards a more secure and better world. This means trusted information sharing, including ideas and concerns, and finding and addressing opportunities for improvement. Often, we do this remotely, but it also involves traveling within Europe.

You will report to the manager and mentor juniors. ENCS offers a career path starting from junior via senior until principal consultant.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the ENCS security policy program
  • Lead customer projects
  • Maintain customer and member contacts within running projects
  • Support principal consultants in managing the agenda of the program
  • Supervise and coach junior security consultants
  • Write whitepapers and reports for customers or the ENCS portal
  • Write news items and other communications material
  • Organize and host meetings and workshops
  • Give presentations to members or at conferences

  • Motivated to protect EU critical infrastructure
  • Master’s in information security or an equivalent area, and at least four years of experience with security policy related work

OR master’s in computer science, electrical engineering or a related area, relevant cyber security certifications, and at least four years of experience with security policy related work

OR master’s in computer science, electrical engineering or a related area, and at least six years of experience with security policy related work

  • Experience with writing or implementing policies and regulations
  • Awareness of the impact of policies and regulations in business processes
  • Knowledge of OT security
  • Knowledge of the electricity sector
  • Ability to manage projects to stay in budget and on schedule
  • Ability to supervise and coach juniors
  • Ability to write technical reports and articles that can be shared with customers and members
  • Ability to organize and host meetings and workshops
  • Ability to give structured and interesting presentations
  • Fluency in English

Additional useful skills are:

  • Knowledge or experience in other business areas
  • Experience with security management (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001)
  • Experience with EU policy and regulations
  • A network of contacts in industry and academia
  • Fluency in a second European language
