How we work
The Hague Business Agency (THBA) is a government funded organization specialized in economic development, investment promotion and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in The Hague. THBA supports the Municipality of The Hague, The Hague Convention Bureau and Bureau Foreign Affairs in attracting international conferences, seminars and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). This is why we are very well equipped to provide you with all the information you need to make an important, sometimes strategic step. We offer market insights. Serve as a liaison with possible partners. And we are your guide: we help you with practical questions and issues such as housing, permits and fiscal and legal tips. As an important extra, we are very aware that your possible move affects your employees and their families. For them too it is very important to feel at home away from home. All in all, THBA is your non-profit one stop shop for everything you come across. Free of charge!

THBA offers you a highly-committed team, working for you with all the relevant partners in The Hague. We share our expertise and business leads through all kinds of personal and online communication: events, (online) marketing, personal visit and introductions to valuable relations. The so-called Fact-Finding-Trips are an important tool in this effort. With our Investors Progamme, THBA strives for a long-term bond with organisations and companies that have already settled in The Hague. We keep on feeding you with market information and business intelligence.

The Hague Business Agency (THBA) cooperates with partners that share the same goal to contribute to the economic growth and job creation for the region. THBA supports the Municipality of The Hague, The Hague Convention Bureau, The Hague Marketing Bureau and the Bureau Internationale Zaken (Agency for Foreign Affairs). Together we welcome international conferences, seminars and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Other important partners
The NFIA (Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency) is the national operational unit of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Just like us they help and advise foreign companies on the establishment, roll-out and/or expansion of international activities in the Netherlands. We work closely together with the NFIA, and together with them and other regional economic development agencies and several large cities we are part of the 'Invest in Holland' network. The network works to provide a continuum of free, confidential support services to new foreign investors, as well as existing foreign investors that already have operations in the Netherlands. For example, we have a close bond with the Innovation Quarter in The Hague and Rotterdam Partners.
And we share an office with Steenworp Vestigingsadviseurs Haaglanden. This organisation advices startups and companies on finding the right location for an office in the The Hague region.
