What We Do:

Conducting an Internship at Forescout gives you the opportunity of working with cutting-edge technologies to enhance the security of our global customers and partners, operating in various industries, including building automation, healthcare, IoT, utilities, manufacturing, and entertainment.

The internships take place in our Research & Innovation team in the OT and Industrial Business Excellence Center in Eindhoven (former SecurityMatters) where a group of passionate researchers will help you to conceive and steer an idea to become an artifact that can be tested and validated in our facilities before reaching the market.

Our internship projects last for a minimum period of 5 months where the intern will work full time at our offices in Eindhoven (during the Corona Crisis working remotely is also a possibility). We run two sessions of internship:

(1) Spring Session: starting in January/February 

(2) Fall Session: starting in September 

The internship projects available focus on a variety of areas including the research of new intrusion detection techniques, the development of evolutionary threat hunting methods, the discovery of security vulnerabilities in devices that are used in critical environments like airports, utilities or healthcare facilities.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to engage with product management and engineering teams as well as our customers, to understand their problems ahead of time and bring to life ideas that will solve real challenges. You will also get the opportunity to work with our teams in San Jose and Tel Aviv, universities and research institutions we collaborate with.

Finally, your journey with Forescout might start as an intern but can continue by following one of the many career paths we offer. Over the years, we successfully graduated tens of students, and many of them are now successful colleagues!

 

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with researchers, developers and product experts to validate assumptions and ideas according to the business needs
  • Implement mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate and test ideas with the customer and internal teams
  • Evaluate your solutions in our testing facilities as well as on the field, by testing along with our partners and customers

 

What You Bring to Forescout:

  • Technical skills, to develop working prototypes by using the technologies adopted by the company
  • Learning skills, to adapt to the fast-changing technological landscape by showing passion about adopting and learning new technologies and methodologies
  • Interpersonal skills, to make sure you can engage with all the internal or external stakeholders, including researchers, developers, and product experts


Education/Experience

  • Experience with at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C, C++)
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience in solving complex problems and translating them into working solutions
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular)
  • Nice to have: Familiarity or background in cyber-security and networking
