What will you do?

 

You will be working within the DC OPS2 squad as an Ops Engineer. The squad is a multidisciplinary and cross-functional squad with end-to-end responsibility for Global Data Centers Services You will work closely together with other squads within ING. The squad delivers Data Centre services (DcaaS) to ING’s business. You will be working with multiple applications for data centre management and are responsible for  maintenance, development and support of these applications. Furthermore, you are responsible for power, cooling and rackspace from a capacity management point of view.

You continuously strive to improve yourself and your colleagues in the DevOps way of working. You have a broad and diverse set of competencies that allow you to operate, between various squads and chapters, and that allows you to build a network. You help others to be successful and remain a step ahead.

To be considered for this position you must be knowledgeable about ITIL, Cloud, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), power, cooling and data centre hardware.

  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, data centres and networks;
  • Basic knowledge of power, cooling, connectivity and IT hardware;
    • Both team player as independent and autonomous;
    • You are energetic, enthusiastic, & eager to learn;

    • You have an end-to-end ownership mindset.

 

Your education and background

 

  • Minimum MBO-4 preferably in technology or ICT;
  • Good understanding of data centre technologies;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and good communication skills in English both written and verbal.

 

Other information

 

  • The location is Rotterdam and you are willing to travel to other ING locations when needed;
  • You do not mind to participate in stand-by;
  • You are able to stand, walk and lift regularly.
