As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Penetration Tester to support the further growth of our evaluation lab in Leiden, The Netherlands. Our specialists work closely together performing high assurance evaluations focusing on Smart Cards and Secure Elements, payment terminals, IT related products, and tachograph vehicle units. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical perspective related to the vulnerability and penetration testing.

 

What you’ll learn & achieve:

  • Lead complex IT penetration tests and take responsibility on the overall testing phase of a product.
  • Getting in contact with the certification scheme to present the results during an evaluation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers for lab issues
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team on evaluation scoping, resource requirements, certification body, and customer expectations
  • Support the business externally through on-site client meetings, attendance at industry-related events and other
  • Give (technical) presentations to our customers and our own team (Tech talks)
  • Lead customer code review
  • Lead the development of sophisticated, state-of-the-art attacks with tools and scripts by maintaining a high level of expertise in the latest attack methods against embedded products
  • Lead internal work processes by improving tools for evaluation efficiency, report writing, and technical training.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline and 3 to 5 years' relevant working experience;
  • Knowledge of Common Criteria applied to embedded and IT products
  • Experience in software on embedded products, preferably within the payment or security industry, smart cards;
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and their assembly languages;
  • Working understanding of Cryptography and popular techniques;
  • Rigorous attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and creatively to meet deadlines;
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Comfortable working in a multi-national and multi-disciplinary team;
  • Open to business travel;
  • A strong team player, able to learn from and to train your colleagues.
