Main missions:
The role of Process Safety Engineer is to ensure that execution and delivery of Floating Production Units for Operations will have risks from Major Accident Hazards reduced As Low As Reasonably Practicable.
As part of the Operations Readiness Team, The Process Safety Engineer reviews key project MAH deliverables prepared by projects SLP Engineering teams to ensure Operations input is provided. They provide guidance to project teams in developing and executing SECE Performance Standards and Assurance, and they facilitate the transfer of major accident hazard management from project to operations teams. They will follow and monitor the progress of the project in assuring the safety critical requirements for operations
The Process Safety Engineer develops the MAH Bow Ties for new facilities and coordinates input of project and operations teams into the development of the case for safety, or Safety Case.
As part of a larger team, the Process Safety Engineer supports the team in developing scopes of work and resourcing plans for specific study requirements for Region 1 and 2 operations. They support the Operations Technical Authorities / Experts in defining the requirements for Performance Standards on Operations.
Experience:
Experienced in Major Accident Hazard Scenario Management, Bow tie Methodology, Performance Standards development and implementation and developing the case for Safety
