We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to to join our dynamic team based in Leiden, Netherlands.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers and internal team members to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions, encompassing both process improvements and software implementations. Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Implementation and maintenance of complex, data driven applications.
  • Implementation and maintenance of complex, design critical applications for early phases of engineering.
  • Verification and Validation of SW applications.
  • Optimization of high throughput collaborative systems.
  • Design and implementation of supporting tools and libraries.

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • University degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in C#.
  • Familiarity with .NET Core.
  • Experience with the MVVM design pattern.
  • A solid understanding of Relational Databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Test Driven Design.
  • Familiarity and confidence with Git, GitHub and Gitlab.
  • Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
  • Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Experience in large, multi-faceted projects and continuous integration tools.
  • Experience with data modelling using languages such as Ecore or UML.
  • Acquaintance with Blazor web application development.
  • Comfortable working in Linux Environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Familiarity with developing mobile and/or web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript.

This position is open only to Dutch nationals due to the nature of the work for the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
