Sweden is a world leader when it comes to digital skills. However, the position in the field of cybersecurity is still modest. There is a discrepancy between the pace of digitalisation of Swedish society and cybersecurity.
In particular, SMEs – which account for 60% of the turnover of Swedish businesses – and (smaller) organisations in the public sector have fallen behind. Investments from both governments and the business community to increase resilience are now increasing sharply. The need for knowledge sharing and implementation of new solutions is enormous. This offers excellent opportunities for collaboration with parties in Sweden.

What can you expect?
After this trip you will know more about the latest developments in Sweden and you will have been able to meet local (cybersecurity) experts, policy makers and end users. The core of this mission consists of a visit to the Mobile Heights ICT cluster and participation in the Stockholm Tech Show.
We start in Lund where the organization Invest in Skåne receives us. The program will include a visit to the Mobile Heights ICT cluster. This cluster with around 130 members in the south of Sweden is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), founded in 2009 by Sony, Ericsson, Telia, Skåne, Lund University and Malmö University. Their members range from hardware vendors and software developers to organizations that support technology development in areas such as UI/UX design, research, law and intellectual property. Some of the key technologies and expertise represented in this cluster include (but are not limited to):
During this day, other relevant stakeholders in the south of Sweden are also invited and a pitch session is possible. In short, you start this mission by meeting relevant parties from Swedish business and government.
We then travel to Stockholm to participate in the Stockholm Tech Show. This is a conference, fair and meeting place focused on secure and innovative solutions for the digital age, with a focus on topics such as:
Policymakers, managers and experts from the private and public sectors come together here to learn from each other, meet leading suppliers from the sector, exchange experiences, discuss innovations and make new contacts for national and international cooperation.
The Netherlands is present at the fair with an NL Lounge. This lounge serves as a central base for your visits and you can also use the lounge as a meeting point for your guests. The Dutch delegation as a whole will be visible in the marketing communications of the fair. The lounge is located at a central point at the fair, which almost guarantees a spontaneous arrival of interested visitors. You can also register free of charge for a short speaking session on the open stage of the fair.
Collective matchmaking will take place during the mission, where we also use the contacts of the Enterprise Europe Network. The Dutch embassy in Stockholm is organizing a networking drink to which relevant local stakeholders are invited.
Concept programme
The programme is still in development, further details will follow (including recommendations for hotels and addresses of the various locations).
