Your job
We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer with broad knowledge of Microsoft Azure including, but not limited to, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure HDInsight, Azure Function, Spark, Python, and SQL. We are implementing Azure Cloud Services as a analytical platform in a DevOps and Agile way of working and want your help to do it. You will be responsible for the development and support of OLTP and OLAP data services in one of our Azure development teams. Tasks and responsibilities will be the design, development, securing, and implementing them.

 

What you need to be successful in this role

  • Microsoft Azure Data certified – Fundamentals AZ-900/DP-200 & DP-201/DP-203
  • Design and build modern data pipelines and data streams
  • Design and build data service APIs
  • Expose data to end users using PowerBI, Azure API Aps, or other modern visualization
       platform
  • Analyze current business practices, process, and procedure and identify future
       opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure data and analytics PaaS
       services
  • Support the planning and implementation of data platform services including sizing,
       configuration and needs assessment
  • Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. ARM, Terraform, CLI, or PowerShell)
  • Experience with Agile way of working
  • Experience with working in DevOps teams
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing in the team and organization
  • Has a strong security focus and is risk aware
  • You are available for at least 36 hours per week
  • Fluent in English and preferably also in Dutch
