We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to become part of the Modelling & Analytics Chapter within TECH / Group Services to work in the COO Risk and Finance, Management Reporting & Analytics (MR&A) department

 

How are we organised?

Within COO Risk and Finance, the objective of the Management Reporting & Analytics (MR&A) department is to automate, standardize, visualize risk data needed for the different internal and regulatory stakeholders by providing them fit for purpose data marts and reports.

 

One of the programs the Modelling & Analytics Chapter is involved is the Model Paradigm Shift Program (MPS). The aim of the Model Paradigm Shift Program is to improve the Risk modelling capabilities of ING. Risk models are crucial for the competitive advantage of ING. The MPS systems streams will develop and build new state of the art tooling to support ING’s global Modelling community. The Purpose is to deliver standardized and globally supported, high-performing, secure, compliant and scalable environments aligned with existing ING target infrastructure.

The DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer you will be part of the Model Platform squad and in that role you will be responsible for the role out of new tooling and automation of the release management process and its associated artefacts and interfaces.

 

What will you do? What are you responsible for?

  • Build (new) platform for analytic model development and execution
  • Challenge current solution/design to improve better performance and quality for customers
  • Continuous working on platform and process improvements through automation
  • Better customer experience by predictive monitoring of platform

 

Your profile

  • Key competences: team player, agile, eager-to-learn, understanding of CD/DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring
  • Knowledge of LINUX (RHEL), root cause analysis, monitoring, translating into (automated) solutions
  • Knowledge-of/Experience-with Python, R, Containerization, Kubernetes/Openshift, Grafana, Ansible, Git, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with automation of manual activity – TOIL - (Python, Shell, Ansible / Puppet, GitLab)
  • Experience with SAS-administration and life cycle management - preference
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) - preference
  • Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written
  • Flexible with respect to working pattern/hours – team effort
  • Eager to learn what does not know!
  • Furthermore, you adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values. You are also prepared to take the Banker's Oath.
