What you do as an Internal IT Specialist

As an Internal IT Specialist, you are the first point of contact for internal colleagues. You answer the most diverse IT-related questions. For this you are not only actively listening, but also focused on asking questions in order to get to the heart of the problem and to perform the associated actions. Examples of your work are installing software, IT Workspace support work instead of Service Desk.

Together with your colleague, you are responsible for supporting around 200 end-users in our office in the Netherlands as well as supporting others remotely across the group. You report to the IT Workspace Support Manager.

 

Your tasks consist of

  • providing excellent end-user IT support to Orange Cyberdefense employees where needed.
  • communicating the impact of changes the IT team is making to relevant people across the business.
  • creating e-mail accounts and distribution groups on Office 365 platforms.
  • supporting Windows and iOS-based devices including laptops and mobiles and you also provide mobile phone support.
  • installing software and security updates on laptops and servers and administrating IT applications.
  • taking end-to-end ownership of IT issues and keeping users updated with progress.
  • being part of an international IT team and dealing with support cases/tickets using the Salesforce Service Cloud ticketing system.
  • aiming for minimal downtime of the systems through proactive network and system administration.
  • creating documentation and user guides.

 

What you bring to Orange Cyberdefense

You have technical expertise and an interest in cybersecurity. Your communication skills in Dutch and English are fluent, both spoken and written. You thrive with troubleshooting and see problem-solving as an exciting challenge. 

Furthermore you bring:

  • You have relevant experience in end-user support and using a ticketing system.
  • You have the understanding and patience to support/instruct the users. You are also specialized in troubleshooting and are good at documenting.
  • You are a problem solver and quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • You can prioritize your workload.
  • You have an affinity with network components to be the smart hands for a remote team managing the infrastructure.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365, MS-Outlook and Teams.

 

Team

You will be part of the Internal IT team and working in an international team with colleagues from the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. In the Netherlands, you will be working with 3 colleagues in different roles including an IT Infrastructure Architect.

Location

We are located in Utrecht. You can reach the office easily by public transport and there is enough space to park your car (using P&R).

In times of Covid-19, we’re all working from home. We’ve designed an online onboarding program to support our new hires adopting their new work environment and finding her/his way. Also the team will take care of our new joiners, with a buddy, introduction meetings with colleagues and overall support of the team manager.
