Oracle PL/SQL Dev Engineer

ING is looking for a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer having solid experience in PL/SQL development, and having additional skills in the area of CD/CI, test automation.

The Global Processing Center (GPC) of ING Finance is processing every night all commercial banking transactions for accounting and reporting purposes. This time critical processing is based on several applications using Oracle technology (PL/SQL, Forms, APEX 18.1) on RHEL servers. CI/CD is based upon Azure DevOps, GIT and Ansible. All batches are scheduled via UAC.

We are in the process of renewing our technology and way of working by adding automated testing, and concepts like BDD and TDD.

As member of the GPC you will be working in a complex data warehouse environment, which is migrating in the coming year to a private cloud architecture. Next to software development, security, Life Cycle Management and automation based on CD/CI are important topics. As a competent developer you will align on business requirements, develop and test code, based on Agile Scrum way of working. Knowledge about Financial products (commercial banking) is required.

Your responsibilities are:

• Align with Finance regarding requirements.

• Design, Develop and test code based on the technologies used.

• Apply security and risk requirements in software development by design.

• Improve and expand our CD/CI pipeline including automated testing.

• Document relevant information.

And relevant experience regarding the following skills:

• You have at least five years of PL-SQL experience, preferably in a data warehouse context.

• You have at least three years of experience with Linux platforms.

• You have at least two years of extensive experience in one of the following skills

  • Python software development (not just basic scripts).

  • Automated testing based on BDD/TDD concepts.

  • Forms and Apex development expertise.

  • Setup and improvement of CI/CD pipelines based on Azure DevOps/Ansible.

• Having experience in Banking and financial products.
