The media is full of artificial intelligence and how it will take over our future. But do you really want to work for a start-up that uses AI to recognize cat photos on Instagram? Or for a sluggish multinational aiming to make even more money with big data analysis?
Or… do you want to come and work here, where you can develop and contribute to innovative solutions for things that really matter?
At ZiuZ, our mission is to achieve worldwide impact with products that contribute to socially relevant issues. We are hard at work on a new medical device to improve patient outcomes in the operating room. This product combines proprietary image analysis techniques with embedded systems in a hand-held device that offers doctors life-saving insights. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) specialist to join this multidisciplinary product development team.
What will be your role as QA Specialist
We work in the Agile way: you will be part of a Scrum team and work closely with the product manager, test coordinator, research engineers, developers and colleagues with commercial and medical expertise. For our new medical product, a test plan has to be written and test scenarios drawn up and executed. A lot of it is hardware related, but it’s also partly software testing. Where possible, you implement automated tests. Awareness of prevailing standards and regulations and embracing a way of working that ensures compliance are important.
There are several Scrum teams in which also QA/Test colleagues are active. Together, under the leadership of the test coordinator, the direction is determined. It is expected that you will also provide support to the Pharmacy Automation Scrum team from your QA expertise (over time). This team develops hardware and software for automatically checking bags with medication for correct content for patient safety.
What do you bring to the table?
We are looking for a QA specialist who oversees the entire development process and who participates in guaranteeing and checking the quality of the product. You have at least five years of relevant work experience and an HBO work/thinking level. You are interested in both hardware and software. Knowledge of test automation and medical products will help, but is not a must.
Colleagues at ZiuZ hail from around the world; a strong command of the English language is therefore essential. Above all ZiuZ team members are curious, analytical and take a hands-on approach to technology development.
What does ZiuZ offer?
In addition to a full-time position and a comprehensive employee benefits package, ZiuZ offers a supplement to your primary salary to be used toward personal pension accrual, a commuting allowance and a standard expense allowance, including provisions for home internet and mobile phone expenses. Furthermore, ZiuZ offers 27 vacation days per year and reserves budget for professional training for each and every employee. We implement a hybrid setup which enables you to partly work from home, where circumstances permit. ZiuZ believes it is essential to meet your colleagues regularly to build team spirit, foster creativity and ensure strong communication.
At ZiuZ you will experience a working environment in which innovation and the development of high-quality products that apply cutting-edge visual and artificial intelligence technologies are the order of the day. As a company, it is of paramount importance to us that you continue to develop yourself and invest in relationships with your peers. The ZiuZ Research Board supports employees in expanding knowledge and developing technical competencies through the exploration of new tools and technologies. We make room for informal contact amongst colleagues on a daily basis through company-wide coffee breaks and daily lunches. We also organize recreational activities such as game events, mountain biking excursions, family days and trips to watch the marathon skating team that ZiuZ sponsors race over the finish line.
