ENCS is looking for researchers in the following areas:

  • Smart Meter testing including the development of new test tools and methods, and the investigation of new types of vulnerabilities.
  • Intrusion detection for industrial control systems (in particular SCADA systems used in smart grids) with a focus on analyzing different sources of security data, such as network traffic and event logs.

Open applications on other topics are also welcome. We are always looking for candidates for different types of internships in our Testing, Consulting or Research department.

About ENCS

The European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the cyber security of critical infrastructures. ENCS is owned by critical infrastructure owners, our members. It is embedded in a strong network of partners in academia, government, and industry. ENCS brings together security experts to offer applied research, training, advice, and testing to our members. Its focus is currently on electricity distribution grids, and the emerging smart grid.

ENCS offers candidates the opportunity to:

  • Work at the forefront of new security developments. Smart grids, electric vehicles, and industrial control systems offer unique security challenges. ENCS experts are in a leading position to meet these challenges by developing new solutions, finding new classes of vulnerabilities, and setting the standard for smart grid cyber security.
  • Improve the cyber security of our electricity grids. Keeping the grid secure while it is more and more automated is critical if our society is to move to renewable energy. ENCS has unique position to speak on behalf of our members to make sure their systems are secure.
  • Develop their skills in an international environment. ENCS is a small company taking on big improvements. It offers a unique environment for ambitious talent to grow and take on new responsibilities.
