On Thursday 10 March Capstone Entrepreneurial 2022 kicked off. Partners EYE Security, CFLW, Chapter8 and Secura got the chance to meet up with 17 master students with a computer science background from TU Delft and University of Twente physically at the HSD Campus. During Capstone Entrepreneurial 2022 the participating entrepreneurs have the opportunity to get an entrepreneurial business case researched. This special programme is part of the master students their 'Entrepreneurial Skills Course'.
As every year the Capstone is divided in two moments where the students and entrepreneurs meet each other. The second and final meeting is on Thursday 21 April, where the students will present their first findings in a plenary session with all students and entrepreneurs. In this first meeting yesterday, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to present their business in a plenary session to the students and the other entrepreneurs.
Benefits for students and entrepreneurs
Purpose is to teach the participating students about entrepreneurship in cyber security and to practice it. Lecturers from the universities teached the relevant theory and prepare the students for practical work. By working with entrepreneurs in cyber security, students better understand what it takes to start business activities in cyber security. Some may be inspired to start a business themselves, although the majority will be looking for an inspiring place to work in the near future, which can often be found among entrepreneurial companies.
Taking part in “cyber security capstone entrepreneurship at the HSD Campus” provides the opportunity to get answers to important questions entrepreneurs have and gives a good first ‘get to know the student’ opportunity, which may facilitate recruiting.
