On 16 November, The Dutch Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the most innovative Dutch SMEs. During the 'SME Innovation Top 100 event' in Ahoy Rotterdam, HSD partner Hackshield received the award of being the most innovative SME in the category labor market & society with their game that teaches children and (grand)parents how to be safe online.
The SME Innovation Top 100 is an unique opportunity to increase the visibility of innovations and businesses, and to offer innovators in the SME sector a chance to network and gain knowledge. It was the 19th edition of this event which is organised by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. The 100 finalists were graded on the impact for the branch and society, originality, availability, turnover and growth potential. The power of the initiative is to show the potential of the SME sector.
In the past years, the ranking has grown to the biggest and most important innovation awards for the SME sector. For this year's edition, the 100 finalists were divided into 5 categories: circular economy, energy transition, labor market and society, food, water & infrastructure, and health & care. After the assessment by the innovation experts, a public voting round followed. Ultimately, a top three per category was chosen.
The KVK Innovation Top 100 is a collaboration with knowledge partners Digital Trust Center, Enterprise Europe Network, Octrooicentrum Nederland (RVO), Qredits, Ondernemersklankbord, NL Groeit and regional development organisations: InnovationQuarter, OostNL, Horizon Flevoland and RomInWest.
