Job Description:

We are looking for a salesperson who will develop portfolios and submission flow with our Partner Brokers and build relationships with Key Customers for all lines of business (Property, Liability, Marine Cargo, Personal Accident, Directors & Officers, and Cyber to name a few). Key characteristics are a hands-on, go-getter and hard worker.

 

You will visit our Partner Brokers and Key Customers in order to present AIG in the broadest sense with an emphasis on joined appetite and opportunities. After visiting these brokers you will follow up with the underwriters and claim handlers in order to identify opportunities and to maximize output. This output will be captured in broker plans and committed by broker and AIG. An important part of your role is to add value to these important relationships to distinguish AIG from the other insurers.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Roll out the distribution strategy and focus on priorities like ‘thought leadership’ and superior account relationship management.
  • Build, maintain and expand existing and new commercial relationships with Partner Brokers and Key Customers.
  • Look together with the brokers to expand the portfolios.
  • Monitor our retention strategy and development with our brokers and clients.
  • Local Industry Practice strategy.
  • Focus on involving all stakeholders within AIG, strive for alignment.
  • Monitor the insurance market, retrieve opportunities and translate these opportunities into AIG appetite.

  • Proven experience in transformational leadership.

 

 

Technical Skills and expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience as Account Manager in industry insurance.
  • Strong track record of market-facing success.
  • Ability to assess the needs of brokers and client base and turn those needs into winning client acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet industry market needs.
  • Clear understanding of technical processes behind policy issuance.
  • Multinational experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
