Responsibilities
As Check Point is expanding the reach of our cyber security products, we are looking for people who will be able to engage DevSecOps and DevOps personnel as well as development managers in discussions concerning the security of their code, applications, infrastructure and processes. Specifically, we're interested in people with deep skills in securing the delivery of containerized and serverless applications. As a security architect in the emerging technology team, you will focus on specific Check Point products and services aiming to prevent vulnerable code and apps from being deployed as well as mitigating threats in deployed containerized and serverless applications. This role will allow you to architect, customize, demonstrate and evangelize security around cloud-native applications and development pipelines.
You'll be part of a small team of ninjas working closely with R&D, Product Management/Marketing, sales, and the devops teams in some of the world largest organizations, and get involved in the first implementations of cutting edge technologies. It's going to be challenging, but rewarding.
- Demonstrable comfort in engaging in both high level "salesy" discussions, as well as deep technical discussions, with executives as well as engineers
- Proven expertise in formulating and implementing cloud security best practices.
- Experience in securing a production container ecosystem (Cloud Foundry, Docker, EKS, Fargate/ECS, Kubernetes, service discovery, service registry) in a continuous delivery environment
- Experience in maintaining or integrating with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in developing and delivering Infrastructure as Code (using Ansible, Teraform or similar)
- Experience with running security tools such as vulnerability scanners, static code analyzers
- Proven programming and scripting capabilities with Python or Go
- Good working knowledge of LINUX tools/utilities, scripting, and basic administration skills
- Proven track record of continuous acquisition of new skills through independent learning
- Strong organizational, communication skills, and detail oriented focus
Desired Background
- Previous experience as a pre-sales or similar role at a technology vendor
- Previous experience with Check Point CloudGuard solutions
- Previous experience working with modern application monitoring tools
- Previous experience in the development of containerized or serverless applications
- High-comfort Level with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware, OWASP and serverless architecture
- Experience in identifying and resolving large scale production issues
