We are EXIN, an independent certification and accreditation institute focusing on the IT domain. We offer an end-to-end solution for certifying digital professionals. At EXIN, we practice what we teach, therefore our digital processes are key to delivering value to our customers and partners. As part of our ambitious international growth strategy, we are looking for a (Senior) Information Management Specialist. The Information Management Specialist will be a part of the Information Management Team. The Information Management Specialist reports to the COO in EXIN as they are the product owner / main internal stakeholders. The team’s main responsibility is ensuring the availability, maintenance, and continuous development of EXIN’s three online platforms: Exillence (examination platform), EXeed (digital badging platform) and Astride (assessment platform).

 

Where you come in

EXIN’s Information Management Team face several challenges in the coming year. The most significant of these challenges is the continued development of EXIN’s core business platform and the development of a competency assessment tool. You will join the team to take a lead product owner role both functionally and technically for our Exillence application which supports our full primary process in which we arrange examinations globally for candidates and partners. Based on your technical and analytics skills, you will contribute to keeping our platform up and running and improving how it supports both our internal processes and our external clients. In addition, you will support the development of a brand new Skills Gap Assessment tool that is being developed internally in combination with outsourced development capacity.

 

Besides these challenges, you will be responsible for:

EXIN’s data warehousing (SQL) and BI reporting, ensuring EXIN’s information security compliance to the ISO 27001 norm (in close cooperation with SIG colleagues) and providing day-to-day IT support to your colleagues at EXIN. You will also be responsible for infrastructure with is largely outsourced with service providers, such as hosting providers and outsourced developers.

 

Where you come in

General:

  • Maintaining the availability of EXIN’s platform and ensuring business continuity.
  • Liaising with external service providers for infrastructure setup and maintenance.
  • Handling of support requests, both internal and external.
  • Maintaining documentation of IT procedures, infrastructure, and architecture, Networking, servers.Providing technological guidance to the COO.
  • Data warehousing & BI
  • Managing and updating EXIN data warehousing (SQL) and BI reporting.
  • ISO 27k – information security
  • Ensuring information security compliance with ISO 27001-norm.
  • ISO 27k – implementing in our systems and leading the annual audit in cooperation with SIG.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technology-related field.
  • 5 to 7 years experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of information management.
  • Strong technical knowledge for application development, preferably in. NET.
  • Knowledge of Data warehousing, SQL, and BI
  • Experience with implementing cloud (Azure, AWS, Cisco + SQL database) & BI-Tooling (PowerBi, Tableau, other BI-tooling).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A true team player with customer service and customer value in mind
  • Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
  • Effective English and Dutch verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to have Knowledge and experience with ISO 27001.
  • Nice to have, worked in a major project (EUR1+mln) responsible at least for a major workstream in which you have demonstrated structuring and project management skills.
  • Nice to have experience with formal or informal leadership.
