Where you come in 

As a (Senior) Business Consultant in our Amsterdam-based Benelux market team, you work closely with clients in the Benelux to understand their business and challenges. Given our growth ambitions, you will also support new business acquisition across other countries in Europe. You report to the market team’s Delivery Director and work together with Account Executives to develop accounts, propose solutions and contribute to tender bids. You work together with management consultants and technical analysts to execute strategic short-term engagements, and you support our team’s Customer Success Managers in ensuring the strategic value of our long-term engagements.

How we work

As a (Senior) Business Consultant, your main responsibilities span both presales and delivery, with a focus on the former. You ensure your domain knowledge is up-to-date and you know the ins and outs of organizations in the commercial sectors. Typically, you will do the following:

• Identify the needs of our prospects and current clients across Europe
• Develop and maintaining a set of propositions matching those needs
• Support our Account Executives in closing deals

• Develop long-term relationships with our clients, together with our Customer Success Managers

• Guide clients in building their maturity in software quality assurance and modernization

• Demonstrate the added value of the Sigrid platform to our clients

• Lead engagements of a strategic nature, esp. in politically difficult contexts

• Orchestrate and add value to every advice report

• Ensure customer satisfaction for all types of engagements

Job requirements 

• Master’s degree, preferably in areas such as Business and IT, like Business Information Technology or Business Information Management.

• 8+ years of relevant IT consultancy experience
• Demonstrable experience working with or as part of large enterprises
• Demonstrable aptitude toward commercial activities
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, verbally & written (MUST HAVE)
• Technical knowledge on the level of e.g. enterprise architects
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a motivated team player
• Analytical, ability to learn quickly and geared to problem solving
• Competent interviewer and presenter
• Stage presence on the management level (e.g. CIOs, steering committees)
• Opinionated, strong listener, seeking to understand first
• Very customer-focused through a service mentality, both internally and externally
• Proactive attitude, self-starting, and self-motivated
