As a DevOps Engineer at Robin Radar, you will build the systems that deliver our software directly onto radar hardware, combining managing our on-prem setup with bare metal installation knowledge. You’ll focus on automating these deployments to make our production process faster and more consistent. By reducing manual steps, you’ll help us scale our output and ensure our radar systems are always running the most up-to-date, high-performance software.

You’ll be a core member of the DevOps team within our I&D department. You’ll report to a Team Lead who provides technical guidance and helps remove blockers so you can focus on building reliable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Automating deployments onto radar hardware using PXE network installations, turning a manual, error-prone process into something consistent and repeatable

  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Bitbucket so software ships faster and more reliably

  • Writing infrastructure-as-code, primarily in Ansible (and AWX), with Terraform, Helm and ArgoCD in the mix

  • Containerizing high-performance native applications using Docker multi-stage builds

  • Keeping systems monitored and observable with Prometheus, Grafana and Loki, and acting on what you see

  • Integrating security controls into the workflow, not bolting them on at the end

  • Documenting what you build, so the next person has a foundation to work from

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE or Linux infrastructure role.

  • Deep knowledge of Linux, Ubuntu specifically.

  • Solid scripting in Python and/or Bash.

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible; AWX is a strong plus.

  • Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline experience.

  • Familiarity with bare metal and on-prem environments, PXE experience is a real differentiator here. No bare metal background? If you have strong pipeline and Linux skills and you're eager to get into hardware-level work, we'd still like to talk.

  • Understanding of IP networks: configuring, monitoring, securing.

  • You live in the Netherlands, within commuting distance of The Hague.

  • Comfortable working in English.

Nice to have: Kubernetes, AWX, APT repository management, VMware, cloud provider experience.

N.BAll applicants, we realize that this is quite the list and people come with various levels of experience. Don't be afraid to apply even if you feel you don't meet every desired skill. Our mission is a journey and there's plenty to learn on the way!

But of course, you should identify with our core values: We trust, We own it & We aim high.

What's in for you

  • Working for a Great Place to Work® certified company.

  • Comprehensive pension plan.

  • Commuting allowance.

  • 30 days of paid holiday leave (with the possibility to buy 3 additional days).

  • Opportunities to develop your skills even further through training and certifications.

  • High quality laptop/desktop, monitor, noise canceling headphones, and any other equipment necessary for your role.

  • An international team of 30+ nationalities, full of high performance colleagues you can exchange experiences with and learn from. As well as having a lot of fun in our social events and Friday drinks!

Robin is a technology leader in tracking and classification of small objects. Our mission is to increase the safety of people and wildlife by preventing bird strikes in aviation, reducing the environmental impact of wind farms, and protecting humans and critical infrastructure against drones. We achieve this by combining purpose-built radars with unique software algorithms. This powerful combination allows us to provide actionable information that empowers users to prevent serious incidents.

We’re growing. Fast. In fact, we are one of the top 10 fastest‑growing companies in the Netherlands. But despite this growth, we stay true to our core values of trust, ownership and aiming high.
