Description:

What will be your role?

You will be working within the weapon systems (ws) department. The weapon systems department advises parties including the dutch ministry of defence on the performance of weapon systems, from small calibre systems to large complex missile systems.

You will determine the trajectory of the ammunition, calculate the probability of hit, estimate the damage to a target, and calculate the functional consequences for the target. These insights can then be used to determine how weapon systems can be deployed optimally, with optimally meaning that certain damage must be avoided.

A good advice requires all relevant aspects to be integrated. An important part of our expertise is therefore the ability to connect an entire spectrum of knowledge areas – from technical content to military operational – from a weapon systems perspective. As only a limited number of partial features of weapon systems can be tested experimentally in practice, we carry out our system analyses mainly using (3d) models and simulations. Within the weapon systems department, about 30 colleagues work together on national and international projects for the ministry of defence and industry.
