Do you want to help build the Sofy Data Analytics platform and make it scalable and future-proof for a wide range of customers worldwide using the latest technologies in cloud, security, data, AI and intelligent automation? Your challenges

  • Collaborate with other professionals in a dynamic virtual and international team to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
  • Navigate effectively between stakeholders needs and future proofing the platform
  • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
  • Lead the support team to enhances our platform developer’s experience and fosters strong and effective relationships amongst our internal delivery teams
  • Able to be the technical counterpart of Platform Lead and Product Owner in assessment of escalation & support requests, assessment of (program) items and creating execution scenarios.
  • Understand the requirements of developing enterprise software, with good knowledge of concepts such as cloud computing, containerization, microservices development, Single Sign-On (SSO), data sovereignty, RBAC and data integration

This is what you bring

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience with cloud infrastructure and software development
  • You have recent and relevant work experience in one or more of the following techniques: Javascript/TypeScript, Angular, C#, and/or Vue
  • Strong understanding of the different parts of the software development lifecycle, from design to delivery to production
  • Practical approach to solving sophisticated problems with ambiguous requirements
  • Experience and thorough understanding of (test) automation (e.g. Cucumber), continuous delivery, deployment tools and pipelines. We work with Azure DevOps, Bicep, Helm, and Kubernetes on AK

What will you do as a Software Architect for our Sofy Data Analytics platform?

KPMG Sofy is a cloud-based Data & Analytics platform that was developed internally in 2015 within KPMG as a start-up. On this platform we combine various technologies with KPMG knowledge and customer data to offer customers smart solutions through the use of data analytics and workflows. Sofy was developed within KPMG Netherlands, but has received a lot of recognition from KPMG Global over the years. To accommodate the worldwide usage of the platform, we now have the platform infrastructure deployed in 8 different geographical regions.

 

We are looking for a seasoned architect with hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Azure) and software development. In your day-to-day job you will be responsible for makes high-level design choices and framing technical standards. This might include tool selection, software coding standards, or third party software to be used. To be effective, a software architect needs broad (and deep) technical knowledge to make good decisions.

The Sofy platform is developed at KPMG the Netherlands but is being used by KPMG member firms all over the world. This means that our stakeholders and clients are using the Sofy platform internationally.
