Front-End Developer

Your role in a nutshell

 

We’re looking for a great Front-end developer with 3-5 years of experience to help us develop our GDPR solution further. As our new Front-end developer, you will be joining the current six members of our product development team, and work together in building exciting new functionalities for our software, serving over 1800 international clients of world-renowned organisations.

 

Requirements for this position

• Masters or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification
• 3-5 years of experience in practical front-end development and deployment, as well as with mainstream front-end technology stacks
• Hands on experience with Javascript/Typescript, Node.js (MERN like), and other front-end stacks
• Some experience with back-end coding (Java and SQL)
• Knowledge and experience in designing APIs, RESTful services and message-based systems
• Experience with the Altassian stack
• Previous work experience with CI/CD tooling and methods
• Experience with browser compatibility issues and their management them
• Tolerance towards ambiguity and uncertainty as nothing is set in stone
• Experience with working in agile teams and flexibility due to working in sprints

Responsibilities

• Front-end integration with a back-end API
• Translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
• Caching and performance optimization
• Unit testing
• Documentation and code control using GitHub and Atlassian tools (or equivalent)
• Contribute and adhere to quality control using coding standards and best practices, including CI and CD
• Third line support and defect correction
• Participate in API creation and RESTful services

Besides your excellent qualifications, you are happy to share your knowledge and ideas with senior product development team members, management, and other stakeholders. You are user and detail oriented, a great problem solver, and have an aptitude for learning new tech solutions. A self-starter with a high level of energy, confidence, and excellent communications skills in English (and preferably Dutch). You are always looking to develop yourself further, can think creatively and come up with out of the box solutions to provide the best experience for our customers.
