Software Tester

Job description

Here at Robin, we're passionate and dynamic; driven and forward-thinking. As an official Great Place to Work, we empower and inspire people to do their best work on their own terms.

And we innovate. Every. Single. Day.

We're proud of what we do, but we also know that our success relies on you — the talented, bright and independent professionals who bring passion to your work each morning.

So, what do you think - are you a Robin?

Do you have what it takes to be our Software Tester?

Read on if you think you do!

How you'll answer, "So what do you do?"

"I'm responsible for testing the newest radar software, so that we can guarantee top notch software!"

Mmmm. Not bad.

Here's what a Robin would say:

"I get to trial mindblowing radar tech! It's my job to ensure our code is just as cool as our hardware, guaranteeing software that performs flawlessly every time."

Nice!

Job requirements

Day-to-day, here's what you'll really do:

  • Independently test the newly developed software at advanced end-user level and technical level;
  • Evaluate the test results and communicate potential causes and solutions to the team;
  • Prepare test software and optimize the existing test protocols;
  • You’re responsible for the clear registration of reports and outcomes;
  • You’re responsible for maintenance and expansion of our test suite.

You’ll be part of a growing PEC (Product Expert Center) team, and work closely with the
Research & Development team. The PEC team is responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the products. You’ll report to the Director R&D and PEC, who is there to support and guide you.

Sound good? Already itching to apply?

Wonderful!

But hold your horses, there's a little more.

What we're after:

  • We expect a technical education at HBO+ level;
  • You have a minimum of three years of experience in software testing and you have good knowledge of C++ and Linux;
  • You have an affinity with high tech equipment and software;
  • You work in a very structured way, are patient and like order;
  • You're comfortable working independently (you don’t need somebody to give instructions), as well as collaboratively, with all stakeholders at Robin;
  • You have excellent communication skills in English to share your test results with the team, and it would be great if you speak Dutch as well;
  • You live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.

And of course, you should identify with our core values: trust, responsibility & transparency.
