As a forensic-technical analyst (Forensisch-technisch analist), your job is to perform tests on material that was found during a forensic inquiry. The purpose of these tests is to identify evidence that can be admitted to court. As forensic-technical analyst, you can work at the Police, other governmental institutions, but also in education or in the private sector.

Functieomschrijving

Een forensisch-technisch analist is iemand die op een plaats delict of in een laboratorium analyses uitvoert op materiaal dat is gevonden tijdens het forensisch onderzoek. Een forensisch-technisch analist is werkzaam bij verscheidene opdrachtgevers en limiteert zich dus niet tot de politie. Het is dus ook mogelijk om te werken bij een particulier forensisch laboratorium of een laboratorium van een onderwijsinstelling.

Eisen

Om forensisch – technisch analist te worden moet je de Hbo-opleiding Forensisch Onderzoek hebben gedaan. Om hiervoor toegelaten te worden heb je minimaal een mbo-4 diploma nodig met kennis van natuurwetenschappelijke vakken zoals biologie, natuurkunde en scheikunde. 

 

Professionele ontwikkeling

Met het profiel forensisch – technisch analist is het mogelijk door te groeien tot forensisch – technisch rechercheur of onderzoeker bij de politie of in het private domein.
