KPMG’s Global Security Operations Centre helps defend KPMG and its clients from cyber-attack and data breaches, through timely detection, investigation and remediation of potential threats and risks.

 

The purpose of the KPMG Information Security Service Design Engineer role is to ensure sound delivery of technical projects, systems and services for the GSOC. Information Security Service Design Engineer will be responsible for coordination with vendors, customization, enhancement and integration of security platforms, value addition to Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting systems and provide a mixture of project delivery and system integration around a global infrastructure comprising of Linux and Wintel environment, SQL, Tableau, Azure, O365 and more. Information Security Service Design Engineer will be part of a team working in a fast paced environment driving performance, reliability, feature enhancements, adoption and supporting the GSOC teams and delivering SOC services.

 

The successful candidate for this role will have strong analytical, planning and communication skills, demonstrated technical expertise while working in a fast changing, global IT landscape with multiple vendors utilizing multi-technology platforms and a desire to tackle the complex problems of scale which are unique for very large enterprises.

 

 

Who are you?

Our ideal candidate posseses: 

  • 10 or more years of IT experience, preferably on a global enterprise level
  • Professional Certifications with Enterprise products and solutions from recognized vendors, preferably MSCA or Cloud related
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and related threat solutions
  • The ability to evaluate current people, processes, technology, and business drivers to improve the GSOC
  • Understanding of information security, border protection, incident handling & response, forensics, endpoint protection & encryption
  • Understanding of computer science: algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, networks, and tool development
  • In-depth knowledge of KPIs, networking and Internet protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and operating systems Strong ability to communicate: write clearly and speak authoritatively to different audiences
  • The ability to troubleshoot common network devices, network, and vulnerabilities.

In this role, you will be working in a fast-moving and changing environment in which you will have exposure to different areas of expertise, such as Infrastructure and (Cyber) Security.
