Due to extended measures against the Coronavirus proclaimed by the Dutch government on 21 April 2020 the ICSSS organisation regrets to inform you that the sixth edition of the International Cyber Security Summer School will not take place in 2020 but will be rescheduled to August 2021. In doing so, the ICSSS organisation and partners adhere to the new measures detailing that the ban on events has been extended until 1 September 2020.
Although disappointed that ICSSS cannot take place in 2020, the ICSSS organisation would like to stress that it will always follow the guidelines and measures set by the Dutch national authorities, Municipal Health Services (GGD) and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The measures are put in place to control the virus as much as possible in order to protect vulnerable groups and societal health in general and therefore have the full support of the ICSSS partners and organisation.
ICSSS also wants to inform you that alternative scenarios (including a virtual summer school) have been extensively examined and discussed with ICSSS partners, but have not been chosen for a number of reasons. For a more detailed explanation on the reasoning behind this, visit the FAQ page on the ICSSS website.
